Maui Optometry originates back to Harry Anzai, among the first optometrists on Maui. Harry started his practice in old Wailuku town in 1955. In 1984 his son, David, graduated from Pacific University and returned to Maui to join his father’s practice. In 2005, Linda Nguyen graduated from University of Houston and joined the Anzai family practice as an associate doctor. She trained in corneal and refractive surgery at the prestigious Harvard Medical School, after which she spent six years doing humanitarian work in Zambia. Dr. Kaiea Iwasaki is our new optometrist! He graduated with his Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University and decided to return to his home of Kauai. Dr. Andrew Chung is the newest addition to our team. He is board-certified in ophthalmology and Lifestyle Medicine; he completed his training at Loma Linda University. Together, our team will provide excellent care for all your eye care needs!
