1. Who we are

Aloha Search is a local discovery directory and search index for the Hawaiian Islands, operated from Hawaiʻi. We help kamaʻāina and visitors find restaurants, activities, stays, services and the businesses and websites that make up island life.

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Aloha Search website, search results, listings, and related features (together, the "Service").

2. Using the Service

You may use Aloha Search to discover and research local businesses and websites for your own personal or business purposes. In return, we ask that you use it fairly:

• Be honest. Don't impersonate a business, person, or our staff, or misrepresent your relationship to a listing.
• Don't scrape or overload. Automated bulk collection of listings, reviews, or index data without our written permission is not allowed.
• Respect the islands. Don't use the Service to harass others, post unlawful content, or promote activities that harm Hawaiʻi's communities or environment.

3. Listings & business information

Many listings are compiled from public sources and our own island research before an owner ever arrives. We work to keep information accurate, but we can't guarantee that every hour, price, phone number, or detail is current.

If you own or manage a business, you can claim your listing to keep it accurate. Claimed information you provide must be truthful and something you have the right to publish.

4. Content & websites you submit

When you submit a website for indexing, claim a listing, write a review, or upload photos, you keep ownership of your content. You grant Aloha Search a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the Service so it can appear in search results and listings.

You're responsible for what you submit. Only submit websites you own or are authorized to promote, and only upload media you have the rights to use.

5. Reviews & community conduct

Reviews should reflect genuine, first-hand experiences. We remove content that is fake, paid-for without disclosure, defamatory, or off-topic.

We may moderate, edit, or remove content and suspend accounts that violate these Terms — though we're not obligated to monitor everything posted.

6. Our intellectual property

The Aloha Search name, logo, interface, and the curation and arrangement of our index are owned by us and protected by law. These Terms don't grant you any right to use our branding without permission.

7. Disclaimers

Aloha Search is provided "as is." We are a directory, not a party to any transaction between you and a business you find here. We don't endorse, license, or guarantee any listed business, and a listing is not a recommendation.

Always confirm details — licensing, availability, safety, and pricing — directly with a business before you rely on them.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aloha Search and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or your dealings with any business or website found through it.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we'll revise the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, give notice within the Service. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
