Ram Jhula is one of the last spiritually based towns left in India that limits entry of alcohol, meat foods and even bans cigaret smoking. It use to be the entire region of Rishikesh was sacred and these restriction were enforced for a thousand years. But slowly modern civilization has overpowered the region as commercialism has taken over and push out the old yogic ways and rules. Ram Jhula is primarily old ashrams, temples and Ghat steps down to the Ganga river. Home to the famous Maharishi Mahesh Ashram known for Transcendental Meditation and that music group The Beatles Ashram.

Kukuiolono Park and Golf Course was once the site of an ancient Hawaiian Heiau and more recently the estate of the late Walter McBryde. The park offers extensive walking paths and gardens with breathtaking mountain and ocean views. The challenging 9-hole golf course is popular with the locals for its beauty and the most inexpensive greens fees on the island. The Japanese garden is a great place for a stroll down a quaint path and over a footbridge where visitors can see fountains, statues, bonsai trees and other plantings. The garden path leads up to a unique and extensive collection of Hawaiian lava rock artifacts showcasing ancient items used in old Hawaii, and a newly-built meditation pavilion.

ALL ABOUT DC LAUNDRY SERVICE David and Camille Hesapene We are the westernmost laundromat. You cant go anymore west than here in Waimea, Kauai, Hawaii. DC Laundry is just the new name in town but the business have been around for a long time. We are grateful to have this opportunity and blessed to have start this new adventure for our family. The most exciting part was renewing the look and giving it a vibrant brightness color of blue that reflects our Alma mater of Waimea High School. We knew we had to replace the old machines that has been sitting in this area for years, broken. The community deserves a clean, bright, operable brand new machines and we are so happy to be able provide this for the westside community.
