Known for its trademarked “Oishi Ramen,” KAMUKURA Ramen offers bowls of clear-broth vegetable-based soup inspired by French consommé and paired with medium-thin Japanese noodles. The soup—delicate yet savory—derives its slightly sweet flavors from Hokusai Napa cabbage, which you can see getting cooked down per order in the open kitchen. The Ala Moana shop offers counter seating along with takeout for a fast and convenient option to satisfy noodle cravings. Founded in 1986, KAMUKURA Ramen began in the entertainment district of Osaka, Japan. The Lanai Food Court in Ala Moana Center is the brand's first in the US.
