Built around the beginning of the 1900's, the building became Hanalei's center for commerce, communications and community needs; while serving as the Ching Young family's residence upstairs.

Waipa Farmers Market is managed and hosted by the Waipa Foundation, a non-profit that manages the valley. The farmers market currently runs from 3pm-dusk. Those who are coming from the Princeville side of the Hanalei hill work will need to commute through the convoy(road is open between 1-2:30pm on Tuesdays.
